I'll be gone now. Just matter of few months.I still can't believe its almost a decade. I'll miss this place, Pillai's campus, terribly. All the things I did, all the events, all the fests, all the EFL's I played & witnessed, the students council (of which I was part of just once, officially), all the fun that I had with friends & the bird watching in the old canteen. But mostly I'll miss the people here, the friends I made (& the list is a long one. I mean really long one) & the memories. Almost all the friends on Facebook are from Pillai's and every time I bump into them it'll remind me of this place.
S-403, the classroom where it all started. I should have known it would be a long journey(haha). I now have attended lectures in almost all the classrooms (apart from the new building), been in all the labs, workshops & libraries, even spent nights in this place. I've seen this place transform. All those wings, housing the different departments, canteen shifting bases, from 'The OC' to Epic Cafe, I have been a part of all. Every college has its issues, even this place has but its overcoming those slowly & steadily. It'll reach overcome all its problems one day & who knows I might come back & visit this place that day.
I have learnt a great deal from this place. About people, their behaviour, the dynamics of friendships, the real friendships, how to do things in a right manner, life & love. I may have learnt about those in a hard way but I'm happy they'll remain with me forever. But the most important thing I learnt was how to win hearts (I bet no one teaches that).
I have had my ups & downs. But this place taught me how to pick up yourself, dust off the failures & keep moving forward with a renewed vigor. Life hits you hard, keeps you down there, how to get up & fight back, I have learnt it here.
Now its just few months left for me to bid adieu to this place. I'll try & accomplish all those things I couldn't do or doing it much better than the previous occasion (getting an all clear tops that list). I'll try & live those 9 years in these coming months.
It has been a wonderful journey from Advait to Addy; from Polytechnic to PIIT to Pillai's. Blessed to be a part of it!
